Greiner Construction was hired to perform Pre-Construction and Construction services for Stoel Rives’ workspace renovation located within the 33 South Sixth Street tower in Downtown Minneapolis.
Envisioning a more collaborative open office approach, Stoel Rives is proud to be the first law firm to have its own in-house “pub”. The pub-inspired break room serves as the landmark gathering place in the office’s central core, which was previously unused and undesirable space. Radiating from the break room out, a contrasting color palette was used to unify the space and create both interest and texture.
Several environmental initiatives throughout the entire design process were kept in mind as well. Sustainable carpet tiles were chosen and local wood flooring was sourced for the break room. Existing materials such as wood paneling and doors were salvaged and reused, and architectural infrastructure that still had importance in today’s legal workplace practice was kept.
