Clinic Relocation in the Centennial Lakes Medical Center

Minneapolis Heart Institute Relocation

In partnership with:
Relocating and renovating

Allina Health hired Greiner Construction to assist in their Minneapolis Heart Institute (MHI) clinic relocation from the 2nd floor to the 3rd floor of the Centennial Lakes Medical Clinic. Greiner provided Pre-Construction and Construction services, and renovated all areas that were designated specifically for stress and echo testing.

Scope of work
  • 12 private exam rooms
  • A scheduling area
  • A main reception area
  • A lounge
  • A waiting room
  • A patient beverage station
  • A stone wall behind the registration desk
  • A DIRTT wall system
  • Sliding doors in lieu of traditional swing doors (allowing for the maximum amount of space to be utilized)

One of the unique challenges of this project was that vital structural supports needed to be installed in the ceiling of the tenant space on the second floor to support the added weight of new Nuclear Medical camera equipment being installed on the third floor. Greiner worked closely with the new building engineer and tenant on the second floor to be able to install the needed supports. All of this work was performed during non-business hours to ensure their clinic operations were not disrupted.
