It was the Greiner Construction team’s attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship that brought International Dairy Queen’s (IDQ) brand to life at their new headquarters located at 8000 Norman Center Drive, in the Normandale Lake Office Park. Providing Pre-Construction and Construction services, Minneapolis-based Greiner constructed the 46,411 square foot office space situated on floors 7 and 8.
Construction of both the office space and test kitchens were completed in an occupied, multi-tenant building. In order to connect floors 7 and 8 of the building, Greiner constructed a grand staircase that involved the removal of post-tension flooring. This required the installation of structural steel to retain the structural integrity of the building. The finished staircase is even highlighted with a wall of ice cream cones!
IDQ was exceptionally pleased with how the Greiner team made constructing their headquarters a smooth process, with open communication and commitment to their schedule always being top of mind. David Wheeler, executive vice president, shared his praise: “Congratulations on achieving this HUGE milestone and preparing an exceptionally beautiful space to IDQ. We are very eager to begin our move on Friday and couldn’t have reached this point without your leadership and phenomenal skills at making this happen!”
