Greiner is providing pre-construction and construction services for the historic re-purpose of the Vandalia Tower in St. Paul, Minnesota.
The Vandalia tower is an 80-year old structure with lots of layers from previous remodels. Greiner stripped those layers back to restore this historic building.
The scope of work includes:
- new HVAC and electrical systems
- plumbing
- fully engineered structure to support an existing two-story building
- refurbished historically approved windows
- roofing
- sidewalks/patios
- landscaping
- pavement
- curb/gutters
Greiner also installed new windows to comply with SHPO/NPS requirements. The plans were reviewed and modified to comply with updated requirements.
The projected timeline of this project was slightly impacted due to the start of a pandemic and civil unrest. Greiner has worked closely with the entire project team and our subcontractors to keep the work moving and stay in budget. The careful planning during the pre-construction process has kept this project moving at a fast-pace.
