Previously the infamous Grandma’s Saloon, 7west is a five-story apartment complex constructed by Greiner Construction.

The new construction of this wood-frame 211,952 square foot building included connecting to the existing five-story parking ramp, adding a first floor precast parking and ground level retail space.

The scope of work included: a large community room with a fireplace, a fitness center/yoga studio, a rooftop patio/courtyard with tea garden, additional storage lockers for each unit, select units with balconies, independent entrances for the ground level units, and a cell phone operated door entrance system.

An additional unique feature of this development included the use of feng shui design – the ancient Chinese practice of balancing energies of a given space to ensure the health and success of its inhabitants. Feng shui creates positive “qi,” or energy, by balancing the use of the five elements of metal, fire, water, earth, and wood.

Pilings for the 213 apartment complex commenced in November and the building was completed in August the following year – that’s just 10 months!
