Our History

A great name, like fine craftsmanship, has enduring power. While Greiner Construction is known all over the Twin Cities for the beauty of the company’s interior build-outs and expansions, the Greiner name also represents specific core values that quietly define the company’s exclusive process and unique culture. Established in 1989 by founder Wolfgang Greiner and personified on a daily basis by the Greiner team, these core values of integrity, quality and service have supported the company’s steady growth and solidified Greiner’s reputation as the gold standard for construction in the Twin Cities.

“Wolfgang built Greiner Construction from the ground floor up to be an employee-driven, customer-focused construction company,” says Hans Siefker, president. “Today, Wolfgang’s mission is represented by our company motto: Strength from the Inside-Out. In addition to our commitment to personal and professional integrity, quality craftsmanship and impeccable client service, our motto reflects our focus and our deep expertise in what’s most important to our clients—their workspace.“

“While other construction companies have attempted to replicate Greiner’s legendary quality and proprietary process, they’ve never been able to duplicate our culture, which is the real secret to our success,” says Siefker. “Guided by Wolfgang’s mission, we hire and train people who share our core values. In the same entrepreneurial spirit with which Wolfgang started Greiner, we encourage our team members to serve as ambassadors of Greiner Construction and always make decisions in our clients’ best interests.”

Now, as Greiner Construction evolves and expands to serve new markets, the executive leadership team continues to uphold Wolfgang’s vision, encouraging team members to exemplify his passion and insistence on perfection. “Whether we’re building an office, healthcare clinic, law firm, restaurant or manufacturing facility, we pride ourselves on giving every client a superior construction experience by minimizing disruption to day-to-day operations, helping reduce risk, saving time and money and delivering increased return on investment,“ says Siefker. “At the conclusion of a project, when our clients step over the threshold into their new environment, we want them to feel a rush of pride and excitement, knowing that because they selected Greiner Construction, the new space is infinitely more beautiful than they ever imagined.”
